FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Subject: About live lesson recordings

Live lesson recordings are recorded if there is participation and the lesson is taught. You can access live lesson recordings via the lesson portal. It should also be noted that there may be problems with lesson recordings due to technical problems.

Subject: About the obligation to attend live lessons

Mandatory attendance at live classes is at the discretion of the course instructor.

Subject: Participating in live lessons via audio and video

For audio and video participation in live lessons, the required hardware (camera, microphone) must be available to the participant and guest participants must request the floor from the meeting host. After the floor is granted and the camera/microphone is activated for the user, you can connect your voice by clicking on the microphone icon in the menu bar at the top of the lesson screen, and you can connect your camera by clicking on the ‘start my webcam’ button in the video pane. In order to use the camera/microphone properly, your browser (we recommend Google Chrome) and the Adobe Flash Player plugin suitable for the browser you are using must be up to date.

If the device you are using is not working, right-click on any panel on the Adobe Connect screen where you are following the course. Select ‘Settings…’ from the list that opens. Click on the microphone icon in the box that appears and select the device you are using from the list box in the window that opens. If the device you are using as a microphone is not listed or you are having problems even though it is selected; click on the ‘Audio Setup Wizard’ option from the ‘Meeting’ tab at the top left of the main screen. Proceed by saying ‘Next’ and when you see the ‘select default device’ list box, click on it. Select the device you are using from the list that appears and then test the device as the installation wizard directs you. Then proceed by saying ‘Next’ until you complete it and finish the installation by saying ‘Complete’. If you are having problems despite following these steps, we recommend that you change the browser or restart your machine and try connecting again. Also, check whether the device you are using is recognized by your computer, mobile phone or tablet and whether it is working properly.
